Adidas EQT and ZX exhibition in Berlin

This week all eyes were on Berlin and more specifically the adidas EQT Loft. adidas had assembled the who’s who of the sneaker community for a very special EQT celebration, an event to show where EQT started and where we find it today. The good people at adi in collaboration with Marc Overkill had curated what is the finest collection of adidas EQT and ZX sneakers you would ever wish to lay your eyes on, the personal collection of Marc himself. Positioned right at the loft entrance taking centre stage and deservedly so. There were many many highlight among the display just a few that stood out (they all stood out) were a ’91  1 of 2 Cushion Berlin sample, Racing 93 OG Blue, and a pair of original 91 Guidance Green. It feels bad to single just a few out but I can’t list them all, I mean I could but I won’t.

Surprisingly the rapper Pusha T came by the EQT space today to check the insane ZX and EQT exhibition and the Loft with his own eyes. He is also holding a concert at the adidas party tonight. Gonna be dope!

This location was super dope, it was a urban loft situated over two floors in Berlin city centre. The creative team at adidas had done and amazing job to transform it with a EQT makeover. On the Monday we were treated to an amazing dinner in the EQT Loft and then Tuesday was a talk with some very special guests, Marc Overkill, Chris Danforth of Highsnob, Torben Schumacher (VP of Product Management for adidas Originals and Y-3), and Gary Aspden collector, adidas archivist and originals product specialist. All guests were present and were witness to a truly insightful, interesting and candid talk from the panel. Of course the whole purpose was to showcase the upcoming EQT collections which was unveiled at the loft for everyone to enjoy. I even had the privilege to take some shots of Till Jagla the Senior global footwear concepts director. He was showing off the EQT Supports and ADV, and rocking the EQT 93/17 Support Boost which are all set to drop on January 26th.

The exhibition at Mittelstrasse 43, 10117 Berlin will be open to the public from tomorrow on. Find all relevant informations at the Facebook event here.

I would just like to extend a huge thank you to everyone at adidas for the incredible hospitality this week. This one will live long in the memory for sure.
