Past weekend the first „Not Just Shoes – Sneaker Hangout“ took place in my hometown Hamburg. In the club “Terrace Hill” where Rap and Electro fans usually party till dawn, the floor was all sneaker related this time featuring exhibitors and collectors from all over the country.
Brief location description: The club is located on the topmost floor of an old bunker which was built during World War II and has been redeveloped in the 90s. It has been one of the most popular landmarks of Hamburg ever since.
Back to the event: I was pretty psyched that a sneaker event was finally going to take place in my hometown! The exhibitors included local shops like Titelhelden, Glory Hole and Animal Tracks as well as sneaker crews such as Turnschuhfreunde Hamburg, Sneakernautics and the Vegan Sneaker Connection who presented their rare pairs and of course had some of them for sale.

One of the highlights was this unreleased Solebox Gel Lyte III sample for sure!

After a round across the floor you had a chance step outside onto the clubs balcony from where you had a wonderful view over the Heiligengeistfeld and the harbor skyline.

A local customizer created some dope paintings on an Air Force One high top during the convention.

During the event I had a chance to climb the bunkers roof, which guaranteed a sick view over the entire city and needless to say, I took some on feet shots of the heat my fellas were wearing!

It was a pleasure to attend the “Not Just Shoes” and I had a great time seeing so many familiar faces and got to know some nice fellas as well!
Shouts to every exhibitor and guest who participated and made this event a total blast not only for the sneaker head from day one, but for everybody!
All in all, the Not Just Shoes was a successful event (sure, there’s always space for more heat) that can definitely keep up with other national events!
