Asics just pulled another promising retro out of the hat! It’s the Gel Sight model that originally got introduced back in 1992 for the Japanese market and was the shoe the Japanese delegates went to the Olympics in Barcelona with, in 1992.
Just like the retro launch of the Gel Lyte V in 2013, Asics came up with a nice remake of an original colorway and short after that New York’s own Ronnie Fieg gets the chance to execute his highly in demand colorways on the silhouette.
If the owner of KITH stands for something then it’s quality.
So it was set that his first Gel Sights, the “Atlantic” and “Pacific” from the “West Coast Project” would provide the best materials possible.
This “Atlantic” is draped in a nice pig skin suede with a custom modeled TPU stabilizer and 3M Formstripes. This pair is branded with “Just Us” on the stabilizer and a KITH branding on the heel.
If I remember correctly it’s the first time ever that an Asics created by Ronnie Fieg got a visible branding on the outside of the shoe.
In my opinion the outcome of this outstanding pair couldn’t be any better. It’s the perfect model with a simple but yet hella dope colorway that will be hard to follow up.
Todays pop up store launch took place in 1638 Abot Kinney, Venice Beach California.
Congrats to all those who already had the chance to score a pair I guarantee you will not be disappointed!
Please excuse that this post is only available in English, time wasn’t on my side on this one.
