Miami, the capital city of sunshine.

The good folks at adidas probably felt the same way and chose this city to hold their EQT and Turbo Red introduction event.

Some of you might already know the brand with the three stripes is focusing the EQT series in 2017 along with the new 4th original colorway “Turbo Red”. It has been 26 years since the last original color introduction which demonstrates just how serious adidas will take EQT next year.

A silhouette that will definitely play a big role in this is the Equipment Support ADV.

To kick off the action in Miami a super limited 1 of 1000 ADV “Art Basel” edition was given away to the public at a “disruptive seeding moment” just a few footsteps away from our hotel in South Beach.

The next day we went to the abandoned Miami marina where a huge swimming platform was installed up front in preparation for a panel talk with; renowned artist Ben Jones,  activist and model Adwoa Aboah, and rapper Pusha T. After the talk had concluded the New York rapper took to the stage for a live performance under a huge “Turbo Red” moon created for the event, and of course wearing his upcoming collab shoe, the King Push “Grayscale” EQT’s which are set to drop in January.

Seizing an opportunity Overkill Marc and myself grabbed the Grayscales and Art Basel ADV’s and took them on an open door helicopter ride over downtown Miami and South Beach.

Another great thing was that Kith Miami had opened just in time for Art Basel with a top notch and super clean looking store at 1931 Collins Ave. Shouts to the owner Ronnie Fieg who welcomed almost every customer at the opening day and for taking good care of us.

Unfortunately we didn’t had the time to check out the Art Basel event due to some sickness we brought with us from Germany.

I’d like the thank adidas originals and especially the German adidas department for letting me be part of this amazing event in this beautiful place.
