The magical local football club FC St. Pauli recently teamed up with the sports brand Hummel on their Marathona Low model. To celebrate this very special incident the Danish brand chose one of the most traditional sneaker stores in town, Glory Hole former known as Sneakology. I couldn’t have thought of a better place to hold the event as of the sweet familiar store in the heart of St. Pauli only a few hundred meters away from the stadium. Draped in a really nice all brown nubuck matching the teams traditional colors and limited to 350 pairs the Marathona Low definitely doesn’t have to hide behind other rival runner silhouettes out there. The FC St. Pauli team logo decorates the tongue and the outside of the shoe. It was very nice not only to see all the familiar faces of the usual sneaker collectors but also some supporters of the football club who also wanted to get one of the limited pairs from their favorite club. The event was super smooth, very well organized and I had a really great time with all my fellas and the always kind Glory Hole crew. After the release we hit the after show party which was also the warmup party for Sundays “Not Just Shoes” sneaker event. DJ Saint One from the Mighty Knockers crew killed the crowd in the “Sauna Club 136 degrees” as always!
I had a really strenuous weekend, took a lot of pictures and talked to a lot of fellas and fell straight to bed after sundays convention, but I do not regret a single minute spent at the two events! Great weekend, great people, great ambience!
